Preston Bus Station “work of art”

Preston Bus StationJust as the DCMS decide to reject the Society’s request for a listing review, Preston’s iconic building is once again being celebrated by the Harris Museum & Art Gallery: following a temporary exhibition of Michael MacKenzie’s ‘Last Bus’ series in autumn 2009, the gallery has now added one of MacKenzie’s fabulous photographs of the building to its permanent collection.

The Harris Gallery is part of Preston City Council who continue to argue that the demolition of the building is necessary for the Tithebarn regeneration to go ahead. Another ironic twist in the Preston Bus Station saga.
